We are almost 3 weeks into the New Year.... so, where am I? Well,
I can tell you now that I'm already faltering and trying to pick myself back
up!!!
I started the year with hope and glimmer! I started working out, but not
so much that I burned out. But starting the second week, it’s as if all that
disappeared! I didn’t have ANY motivation to exercise, I made the dumb decision
to make a WHOLE batch of fudge, and I’ve eaten virtually everything in sight! Its like I can't stop!
To make matters worse, since last weekend, we've had tons of snow. As I type this, there is currently 6+" on my back porch and the snow is coming down fast and hard right now! Cold, winter, gloomy weather is my huge downfall. I lack motivation, I feel tired all the time, I don't want to go anywhere or do anything. It doesn't matter how BEAUTIFUL it looks outside because of all the snow. Inside, i'm miserable.
I understand that I could be using this time to workout inside. That I could be productive and getting things done that I DESPERATELY need to do around the house... but again, its that motivation. I HAVE NONE!
One of the things I mentioned during #Reverb11, was trying to find someone to talk to. Depression runs in my family, and I don't want to wind up having to pop a pill every day to be happy and normal. But I think i'm finally at that point where I need to go in and talk to someone that isn't related or a friend. Its something I feel i need to do here at the beginning of the year to hopefully set myself on the right path for the rest of the year.
Side Note: I really need to go through all my old clothes!! I do it a couple times a year, but I wind up just bagging them up and putting them in a closet. I need to actually GO THROUGH everything and toss what I don't need, want, or can't fit!! HAHA!
I've also decided to start a quick 30 day challenge to review my fitness and weight loss goals. I'm hoping it will help me get my motivation back. My girls on MyFitnessPal.com are really encouraging, but for whatever reason, its just not helping me lately. need to look INSIDE and find the answers I'm looking for.
